Named after the classic "A-Frame" wave these Surfite or Surfstone earrings are handcrafted using the resin overflow from the glassing process. Each slab is hand cut and polished and the colors reflect the colors found in tropical ocean waters, blues, greens, reds and the spectrum of pastel colors.  We have set this surfite slabs in Sterling silver with hand forged bezels and ear wires.  The ear wires are riveted in place so there movement in the earrings.

When a surfboard is created, at the end of the process it has a layer of resin poured over the board to finish it.  The entire process of adding fiberglass and resin to a surface is called glassing. Some of the resin always flows off the board and onto the floor. This overflow of resin builds up over time into a thick layers with countless different colors and textures.   This material can be cut and shaped into different forms.
